Mr. Suresh Adhikari undertook the responsibility of the Consul General of Nepal in Dallas in June 2025.
Mr. Adhikari joined Nepal’s Foreign Service in January 2005 as a Section Officer. He was appointed Joint Secretary in January 2024. As Joint Secretary, he headed the Central Asia, West Asia and Africa Division and the General Administration Division at the Foreign Ministry of Nepal.
During his career, Mr. Adhikari has worked at different divisions and departments within the Foreign Ministry. He worked at the United Nations, International Organizations and International Law Division and the Central Asia, West Asia and Africa Division as an Under Secretary, and at the Department of Passports as a Director. He also worked at the Multilateral Economic Affairs Division, the South Asia Division, and the Protocol Division as a Desk Officer.
Mr. Adhikari has served at different diplomatic missions of Nepal. He was Deputy Chief of Mission/Minister Counsellor at the Embassy/Mission of Nepal in Brussels between July 2021 - January 2024. Prior to that, he served as Deputy Chief of Mission/Deputy Permanent Representative/Minister Counsellor at the Embassy/Permanent Mission of Nepal in Geneva between August 2014 - August 2018. Mr. Adhikari also served at the Embassy of Nepal in Colombo as Deputy Chief of Mission/First Secretary between March 2007 - March 2011.
Mr. Adhikari has Master’s Degree in Public Administration, and Bachelor’s Degree in Technology. He has attended a number of courses and trainings in diplomacy and foreign affairs over the years. He also participated in the Regional Coordinator Internship Programme organized by the World Trade Organization from March to December 2013 in Geneva.
