The Consulate General will issue Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) to foreign nationals wishing to travel to Nepal on tourist visa.
Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) / Online Visa Application Process for Tourist Visa to Nepal
Applicants must complete the Online Visa Application form available at the following link (managed by the Department of Immigration of Nepal)

- Required Documents for ETA (Tourist Visa)
- Copy of Online Visa Application Confirmation Page: Please print the confirmation page from the completed Online Visa Application.
- Valid Passport: Passport with at least six months of validity from the expected date of entry into Nepal. The passport must contain at least two blank visa pages.
- Copy of Valid US Visa or Permanent Residence Card (for applicants other than US citizens)
- Visa Fee Payment: Cashier"s Check or Money Order payable to "Consulate General of Nepal Dallas"
* Please note that the Consulate General does not accept online payment or payment via bank cards at present.
- Additional Requirements for Travel Document Holders: Sponsorship Letter from a Nepali citizen and a copy of the sponsor"s Nepali citizenship certificate. Click here to download the format of Sponsorship Letter.
- Visa Fees
- For 15-day tourist visa: $30.00
- For 30-day tourist visa: $50.00
- For 90-day tourist visa: $125.00
- Visa Processing Time: Up to 2-3 business days.
- The applicant may visit the Consulate General after submission of online visa application during consular hours (10.00 am - 12.30 pm) with the required documents and the cashier"s check or money order for visa fee payment.
