Power of Attorney

The Consulate General will attest the Power of Attorney (POA) of Nepali nationals to execute legal proceedings in Nepali courts, pursuant to National Civil Procedure Code, 2017. The applicant must be present in person at the Consulate General after scheduling an appointment in advance. Hence, the applicants should plan their visit to the Consulate General only after receiving an email confirming their appointment date and time.

Required Documents:

    1. Two copies of the POA document in traditional Nepali paper (Nepali Kagaj) duly prepared by a registered lawyer in Nepal.
    2. An application addressed to the Consul General by the POA authorizing person.
    3. Both Original and copies of the Nepali Citizenship Certificate and Nepali Passport of the POA authorizing person.
    4. Original Permanent Resident Card (Green Card) and its copy or the document showing the visa status of the POA authorizing person and its copy.
    5. A copy of the Nepali Citizenship Certificate of the POA assigned person.
    6. Two recent passport-size photographs of both the POA authorizing and POA assigned persons.

(Note: All copies of documents should be self-attested and signed with a date by the respective holder of the documents.)

Fee:

In case of Land/House transfer to own family members within three generations: USD $5.00.

Otherwise: USD $40.00.

The application for attestation of Power of Attorney of Foreign Nationals, including those of Nepali origin, will not be entertained in line with the circular from competent authority of Government of Nepal.

Please note that the Consulate General only accepts Cashier"s Check or Money Order for payment at present. Please make the Cashier"s Check or Money Order in the name of CONSULATE GENERAL OF NEPAL DALLAS.

अधिकृत वारेशनामा

महावाणिज्यदूतावासले मुलुकी देवानी कार्यविधि संहिता,२०७४ को अधिनमा रही विदेशमा रहेका नेपाली नागरिकहरुको अधिकृत वारेशनामा प्रमाणीकरणको कार्य गर्दछ । अधिकृत वारेशनामा महावाणिज्यदूतबाट मात्र प्रमाणित गर्नुपर्ने भएको हुँदा यसका लागि महावाणिज्यदूतावासको इमेलमा सबै कागजातहरु संलग्न गरी पठाउनु पर्नेछ । तत्पश्चात महावाणिज्यदूतावासबाट पूर्व निर्धारित समय अनुसार मात्र महावाणिज्यदूतावासमा आउनुपर्ने छ ।

नेपाल सरकारको सम्बन्धित निकायको परिपत्रबमोजिम नेपाली मूलको विदेशी नागरिक लगायत कुनै पनि विदेशी नागरिकको अधिकृत वारेशनामा प्रमाणीकरण गरिने छैन ।
